there is A LOT going on around here …
first there was last weekend’s trip …
and next week (wednesday) we are leaving for minneapolis … my g-ma is turning 90, and she will be there with my aunt. (my aunt is a cofounder of big top chautauqua, and the show will be in minn/st. paul at the minnesota state fair, celebrating the state’s sesquicentennial.)
anyway, mom and dad are coming in from california, and d-man, steven, and i will be representing new york. it’s kinda like a political convention, where my g-ma is the star candidate, and if you knew my g-ma, you would know that this is the way she likes it. (people wonder where i get that from.)
oh, and my g-ma’s b-day is also steven’s and my anniversary … two years and it seems like only yesterday … blah, blah, blah … let’s go back to that magical day … (it really was amazingly awesome!)
what is adding an extra layer of excitement to this trip is that it will be d-man’s first airplane adventure. we suspect, based on all available data, that he will be chill, but we are taking a bag of tricks anyway … toys, snacks, books, children’s tylenol …
a smooth journey on this relatively short trip would mean potential success on longer trips to, say, the west coast!
