so there’s a meme going around, and i was invited to play along …
The idea is to write your memoir or epitaph in six words. If you can add an image to go along with it, so much the better.
Then, simply sneak up behind 5 unsuspecting friends and whap them in the back of the head with it. Links need to be provided to the person who whapped you and to the originator of the meme, so they can see how far the thing goes. You can check out the place where it all began for a better explanation of the rules.
it took me a long time to come up with something because we’ve been unbelievably busy over here with a major project that we will unveil soon and also because this activity requires a level of self-awareness that i have tabled since a certain someone came into this world … but here goes …
never shocked. sometimes saddened. always engaged.

this is a photo of weegee. i haven’t fully developed (ha! i made a punny!) why this photo fits my epitaph, but it is what my gut wants …
here are the five people i am “whapping” with this little exercise …
grandpa jer
grandpa chuck
auntie lisa
auntie buffy
auntie loretta
loretta is the the only one of you who has a blog, so when others of you have your six words, just insert them as a comment (at the bottom of this link).

points to g-pa jer for doing it in five words, and points to g-pa chuck for making mommy laugh very heartily.

small world… there is a weegee exhibit in milan. unfortunately, i was about to enter when i had a mini-breakdown over the multiplying mosquito bites i had just discovered on my legs. it seems that both didion and i share a pension for mini-breakdowns. oh well.

i wondered when you were getting back from italy … i hope the trip was awesome! you can share the breakdowns with didion and the mosquito bites with me … i had a mosquito bite on the right side of my face, by my ear, that was so big, a nearby lymph node totally swelled up into a hard kumquat. GROSS! and in vermont, i got seven bites in 12 hours … everyone else got ZERO bites.
