so i like to check our “blogstats” to see what peeps are looking at … as didion’s corporate vice president of marketing, it’s my job to have my finger on the pulse of his public’s (all 10 of you out there) wants and expectations …

it turns out that recently someone searched “tickle spot” and found our blog. so my assistant vice president of marketing (aka: steven) wanted to know where the search might’ve taken place. we tried google because, well, who DOESN’T go to google first …

didion’s google page

and holy crap if we didn’t make the first page!

search “tickle spot” (in quotes) and see what we mean … unbelievable! in the words of my coworker: “i am flabbergasted!” granted, the search could’ve come from within the blog, but we are still shocked by the google development.

steven and i certainly never thought it possible to be on the first page of any google search, and here our kid — 4 1/2 months old — proves us wrong …

good ol’ technology … of course, we might need to revisit our privacy settings on the videos we post, but for the time being, this is kinda cool …

UPDATE: i’m not sure how long the search results are going to stay this way because, as i am also didion’s director of security and his agent, i wasn’t sure i liked other third-party sites broadcasting his videos, so i broke the link to the tickle video and reposted with greater security controls. gotta protect the image … and, most certainly, the kid. (nonetheless, for a short time, we did land on the first page of a google search! woo-hoo!)
